How good is Texas A&M? Week 4 SEC Power Rankings

After a poor game against Vanderbilt and a blow-out by Alabama, Texas A&M fans were fuming. They wanted Jimbo Fisher’s head on a plate. Some of the more racist elements of Texas A&M messageboards straight-up blamed Kellen Mond’s off-season civil rights activities for a reason why the school looked shabby. Florida was coming, and the season was going to go to the wolves. And then Florida came to town. In a messy, fun game, Florida was beaten, 41-38. Mond was brilliant, throwing for 338 yards and 3 TDs, and didn’t do anything stupid. A week later, they stopped Mississippi State’s ‘Air Raid’ offense in Starkville, and suddenly Texas A&M fans are talking about how they could pip Georgia to the

Georgia is the best, LSU one of the worst: Week 3 SEC Ranking

It was a weird week in the SEC. The Big 12 actually had some pretty good, low-scoring games, while the SEC was a scorefest of legendary proportions. Alabama and Ole Miss was 63-48, Missouri beat LSU 45-41, Texas A&M beat Florida 41-38, Auburn beat Arkansas 30-28, Georgia humiliated Tennessee 44-21, South Carolina smashed Vanderbilt 41-7 and the weirdest game was at Lexington, where Kentucky beat Mississippi State 24-2. Let’s not get this wrong – it was a humbling day for losers and winners. Here are our ranks for the SEC this week. 1. Georgia (3-0). It wasn’t pretty in the first half, but Georgia’s half-time adjustments were exceptional, and there was nothing that Tennessee could do about it. Georgia put

Alabama vs Ole Miss under threat as Delta looms

Alabama’s game at Ole Miss is under threat because of Hurricane Delta. The hurricane is scheduled to coming through Mississippi on Saturday, putting worries that the game won’t go ahead. So far, the game will go ahead, but Lane Kiffin has put options on the table. “We’ve heard three options,” Kiffin said in a press conference. “One would be Friday, one would be Sunday and one would be later in the year. I don’t think we’ll know until [Thursday] for sure. I think they’re kind of holding off with the most accurate weather we can get. Nothing has changed so far.” So far, Auburn’s clash with Arkansas won’t be impacted, because the two schools are only expecting rain. “We are aware

LSU game moved to Missouri after Hurricane fears

LSU’s home game with Missouri has been moved to Faurot Field because of hurricane fears. After much discussion, the two schools decided to move the game rather than delay it because of the oncoming onslaught of Hurricane Delta, which is expected to wreak havoc on the Louisiana coastline in the coming days. SEC Commissioner Greg Sankey said: “Due to the pending impact of Hurricane Delta on Louisiana and the surrounding area, it is in the best interest for the safety of everyone involved to move the game to Columbia,” SEC commissioner Greg Sankey said in a statement Wednesday. “It was critical to relocate the game to an SEC campus where SEC COVID-19 management protocols are in place and readily applied. SEC Week 2 Impressed List: Arkansas gets the thumbs up

In terms of the Impressed/Depressed list, we’ve got quite the list of who we were impressed with and who we were really not. There will be some surprise about No.1… Arkansas: THE HOGS WERE A 17 POINT UNDERDOG AND WON. WAS THERE ANY MORE IMPRESSIVE (DEFENSIVE) PERFORMANCE? Thanks to Barry Odom, who’s a better defensive coordinator in his lifetime than he’s ever been a head coach, they worked out Mike Leach, only letting KJ Costello only throw for one pass over 20 yards. It was awesome. Sure, the offense was (again) pitiful – and they managed to get the ball back off a muffed punt catch – but the losing streak is over, people. Georgia: Georgia went aggressive from the word

The Story of Courtney and Jenna-Sue

This the story of Courtney and Jenna-Sue, Who saw Auburn win and didn’t know what to do Jumping around look like a hassle So they leapt over a hedge and didn’t look like an a**hole. But like any good photography, there’s an awesome story. And it’s not just Nick Saban and getting tricked by Gus Malzahn, either… COURTNEY Courtney walked into Phi Mu as a girl from the A-T-L (or at least that’s what she told everybody), but really, she’s actually from Marietta. She’s gone to Auburn because it’s more a fun time that it would be at Georgia. She’s might not look like it, but she’s the party animal-brain bucket that everyone craves, and so she’s actually pretty bright.

SEC West Preview: Is it Alabama versus the world?

Every year it seems, people will want to know whether anyone will unseat the immovable objects. In the college football, those unmovable objects are routinely Clemson and Alabama. Last year it was the same, until LSU actually proved what can happen when you get a good quarterback, some future NFL first round wide receivers, and an excellent offensive coordinator, which in one season undid the ole cliche always attributed to the Tigers which was “They’ve got the talent, but they are perennially disappointing”. This year, the objects will be a bit different. We don’t know how many practices each team has managed. We don’t know what what how many have contracted COVID-19 and when, because they aren’t about to

Alabama, LSU name new starting QBs

Alabama and LSU have named their starting quarterbacks. After a battle with newcomer Bryce Young, the Crimson Tide named Mac Jones as the person who will first take the ball from center. Jones had a productive year in 2019, throwing for 1,503 yards, 14 TDs and 3 INTs. In the bowl games against Michigan, he threw for 327 yards and 3 TDs. Down in the Bayou, LSU have given Miles Brennan the starting job. Redshirt junior Brennan – Joe Burrow’s understudy last season – threw for 353 yards, 1 TD and 1 INT last year. Brennan’s job was pretty much his own after competition Peter Parrish was booted from Baton Rouge.

LSU get Farrell back as another DL opts out

LSU has got one of its best defensive lineman back after he opted out earlier in the summer. Defensive end Neil Farrell Jr, who had 46 tackles, 3 sacks, 7 tackles for loss and a forced fumble in 15 games opted out after his grandmother was ill this summer. He’s back in now. That will help Ed Orgeron, who recently saw reserve DL Nelson Jenkins decide to opt out of the season.
