Auburn has shored up their future defense by landing another monster recruit in four-star linebacker Darrell Williams. 6ft 3, 223lb Williams, who hails from Birmingham, AL and plays at Hoover, announced that he would be playing for the Tigers on Wednesday. 24-7 Sports has ranked Williams as the nation’s 16th outside linebacker, and 6th-best in the State of Alabama. Williams was recruited by Alabama and Mississippi State, and also had offers from Florida State and Cincinnati.

First Alabama – LSU happened. Then Obama happened. Sorry boys and gals, we haven’t been as up-to-date as we should be with our SEC rankings. Anyway, here they are… 1. Alabama – Survived LSU. You have to wonder what John Chavis was doing playing soft coverage though in that last drive. 2 = Georgia – Woke up from a 10-0 deficit against Ole Miss to hammer Ole Reb 37-10 in a performance that got stronger by the minute. We look forward to the SEC Championship Game, Dawgs. 2= LSU – A team very like Georgia who only woke up in the second half of the Alabama game. Atmosphere second-to-none in Death Valley, by the way. Wide receiver Scott Austin has committed to Mississippi State, it has been widely reported. The 6 ft 4, 180 lbs receiver out of Biloxi was ranked as the 14th best player in the State by Rivals. “It came to the point where I had a lot of stress on me on where I wanted to go and who really wanted me at heart,” he told the Clarion-Ledger. “MSU has five receivers leaving and this is a good opportunity to probably start as a true freshman.” He is the third player in the Dan Mullen’s 2013 receiving corps to be over 6 ft 3, the Clarion Ledger noted. Southern Miss had also recruited Austin.

Just when you thought it was safe to put away your cowbell, Mississippi State has just received three more major commitments – both on the attacking side of the ball. First of all, four-star running back Kailo Moore, who hails from Rosedale, Mississippi, opted to play for Dan Mullen’s 2013 class. Moore ran for nearly 1,500 yards and 19 touchdowns for West Bolivar, and he’s got frightening speed. He’s Rivals’ No.12 running back in the nation, and the second in the state.
