This week College Gameday is going to ‘The Classic City’ for Ole Miss’ visit to Georgia, which should be a lot of fun. It should provide Georgia with yet another resume game after the victory over ranked Missouri last week, while a win for Ole Miss will leave them still in the hunt for a New Year’s Day Bowl and perhaps the SEC West title. Oh, and everyone can talk about the Lane Kiffin a little more, too. SEC Preview: Ole Miss is all gas

If you love old school Big 12 or Pac-12 football, where they put up a kiddy amount of points and no-one plays any defense, then Ole Miss was your favorite team last year. Averaging 39.2 points per game and 555 yards per game, the Rebels worried every defense in the country. And boy (if you love your offense) was it fun. But Ole Miss was lousy at defense. They were worst in the SEC in giving up points, rushing yards allowed, second-last in passing yards allowed, and total yards. Nationally, the best they had defensive (points allowed), ranked…..117th. Week 6 SEC Preview: LSU – Auburn and A&M-Arkansas highlight the show

This week it’s normal one of the craziest games on the SEC Calendar: LSU vs Auburn. We’ve had burning buildings, missed kicks at the end, last-second touchdowns and the end of Les Miles’ tenure. The Geaux Tigers have won 3 in row and 7 of the last ten, but of those last three games, they’ve been settled by a TOTAL of eight points. With no-one thinking about both sides seriously, it should be fun to at least watch, praying for a Big 12 game to once again break out in Jordan-Hare (if you’ve got the over!). Ole Miss Preview 2018: It should be entertaining

Ole Miss was one of the most entertaining teams of 2017. You can’t argue with that. If it wasn’t arguing its case about bribing different players to come play in Oxford, then it was the head coach getting ousted for making calls to escorts in Tampa and not using a burner to do it. And then came the actual college football season, where they dropped about 32 points on teams using a high-octane offense and gave up about 35 using a defense with more holes than the Titanic. Auburn superstar in pot citation

Auburn QB Nick Marshall – a key part of Auburn’s stunning 2013-4 National Championship Game run – has been cited in Georgia on possession of marijuana. He was cited in Reynolds, GA for misdemeanor possession of marijuana, after his car was initially pulled over for a tinting violation. A policeman smelt that marijuana had been smoked in the car, and searched the car, finding that less than an ounce was found. The Sporting News noted that with Marshall’s arrest, both starting QBs in this year’s National Championship Game had been arrested after the arrest of Florida State QB Jameis Winston for thieving crabs legs. Ole Miss grabs highly-touted QB

Ole Miss has beaten some of its biggest SEC rivals to three-star QB Ryan Buchanan, the Jackson Clarion-Ledger has reported. The Jackson, Mississippi QB was recruited by the Rebels, Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, Florida, Vanderbilt and cross-state rival Mississippi State, as well as Big XII giant Oklahoma State amongst others. Buchanan told the paper: “I am 100% solid on it. I prayed about it. Two weeks ago I wasn’t sure about where I was going. But I’m at peace about it now.
