Kiehl Frazier not going to be Auburn’s 2013 quarterback

Hey, Auburn fans: Kiehl Frazier is definitely NOT going to be your quarterback for the 2013 season. The terrible 2012 quarterback has been moved to safety by coach Gus Malzahn, the new Auburn coach said Monday, and the battle’s going to be between Nick Marshall and Jeremy Johnson. Marshall, a juco transfer and Johnson, a freshman, means that it’s likely Jonathan Wallace won’t get the nod. But there’s still time. According to Yahoo! Sports, Frazier voluntarily moved to safety. LSU RB Hill not going to jail or getting kicked off team

Jeremy Hill’s immediate future is not behind bars, it seems. The star LSU running back was given extra community service after admitting simple battery in a fight outside a bar in Baton Rouge earlier this year – despite violating the terms of a parole given to him as a high schooler. Jeremy Hill called a press conference, which he went to with Les Miles, his coach in tow. Miles had indefinitely suspended the player for the fight. Report: Johnny Manziel to be investigated by the NCAA

According to a report on ESPN, Texas A&M superstar Heisman-winning quarterback Johnny Manziel is being investigated by the NCAA for signing hundreds of photos and getting paid for it. ESPN’s Outside The Lines program cites two sources that said: “The Texas A&M quarterback agreed to sign memorabilia in exchange for a five-figure flat fee during his trip to Miami for the BCS National Championship Game. Both sources said they witnessed the signing, though neither saw the actual exchange of money.” The accused photograph broker is Drew Tieman, who allegedly approached Manziel at Miami Airport when he touched down to watch the National Championship Game between Alabama and Notre Dame. Today was the banner day for the SEC Media Days, with three of the biggest coaches in the conference – and college football taking the podium. SEC Media Days: What To Expect From Day 2

The second day of SEC Media Days is going to be a firecracker – and that’s because Johnny Manziel’s in the house. The Texas A&M quarterback – together with coach Kevin Sumlin and other players, will be visiting Hoover, Al. (as will cohorts of Kentucky, Tennessee, Arkansas, Auburn and Mississippi State), and here’s what we expect everybody to say: Johnny Manziel: To make some excuse about being dehydrated, ill, and tired as a reason for leaving the Manning camp early. It’s a Steve Spurrier World, And We All Live In It: SEC Media Day Recap: Day 1

As usual, the SEC Media Days opened with a bang with Commissioner Mike Slive, South Carolina coach Steve Spurrier, Florida’s Will Muschamp, Missouri’s Gary Pinkel and Ole Miss’ Hugh Freeze all on the podium to face a rabid media…….and ESPN’s College Football Live, which will be spending every waking hour in Hoover, Al. for the next three days. THE BEST THINGS THAT HAPPENED 1) Muschamp on Ohio State reporting Florida for NCAA violations: “Thanks to our Ohio friends. They certainly know a lot about NCAA violations.” We like this because a) He didn’t refer to Ohio by their proper name: Ohio State. And b) He referred to ‘Tatttoogate’, without referring to it. SEC releases first few weeks of TV schedule

We’ve gone crazy on our Twitter feed about the fact that ESPN has decided in its infinite wisdom to make the South Carolina vs Georgia grudge-match at 4.30pm kick-off time – a time despised by most tailgaters and college football fans who don’t tie themselves to a TV during the whole of a Saturday. We can only think that it’s because ESPN’s prime-time game on Week 1 is Georgia’s trip to Clemson, which will be an 8pm kick-off. Oh, and CBS is making Alabama vs Texas A&M in the searing heat a 3.30pm kick-off, unsurprisingly. And College Station will be loud enough for that one.
