2007 Memory: Florida vs LSU

With no SEC football in the near future, I decided to turn off the news and turn on what I enjoy the most: Good college football games. Most great college football games in the SEC in the past 10-15 years have generally been played by LSU. Because Les Miles coaches Les Miles, and Les Miles was/is batshit crazy. It wasn’t the greatest season of SEC games, but it was a great season to be an SEC fan. September will leave the SEC with tough decisions

College football is going to leave us with some tough decisions. While we hope that we would have forgotten about Coronavirus and all the problems it has caused us in six months, that isn’t going to happen. The SEC cuts all Spring Games

Doing their bit against COVID-19, the SEC has cancelled all of the Spring Games. The conference suspended all athletic activity until April 15th, although it would not be surprising if that is longer. This will leave a lot of coaches and players in the ‘corridor of uncertainty’. Players will want to know if they should stay around or transfer. Coaches will want to find out who their No.1 QB is in a live game. And of course, this also impacts recruiting, as high schools have either shut down completely, or schools have abandoned recruiting trips. If SEC schools are sensible, they should cancel their Spring Games

Spring Games aren’t like your run-of-the-mill football games. They have been cancelled due to crappy weather, and they will get cancelled again. This year, every school in the SEC should lead the way in college football, and cancel their Spring games because of the Coronavirus. They need to do it before the States – after declaring an emergency because of the numbers of people affected it – effectively close down the games before them, leaving Vanderbilt – the only private institution in the SEC – to make its choice. An extremely early preview of Georgia vs Clemson 2021

It’s a steamy August night, and one side of Bank of America stadium’s orange, and the other side’s red. Georgia’s coming off another year of not winning a National Championship, and Clemson’s just celebrated another one, beating Ohio State in a firecracker of a game. LSU hires new passing game coordinator

LSU has hired former St Louis Rams head coach Scott Linehan to be its new passing game coordinator. Linehan will replace Joe Brady, who put together a stunningly brilliant offense, won the SEC and then the National Championship in convincing fashion. Brady is now the offensive coordinator at the Carolina Panthers, where he will work for former Baylor head coach Matt Rhule. Linehan is hardly the young mind that Brady was. Georgia tops 2020 Recruiting Rankings

If recruiting had a National Championship, Georgia will be in the Top 4 year in, year out. For the 2020 class, Georgia would have topped the lot. After taking in 4 5-star recruits and 15 four-star recruits – including 6-5, 298lb OT Broderick Jones – who may well start now Cade Mays has transferred to Tennessee – and 6-4, 305lb OC Sedrick Van Pray – today, UGA cemented its ranking at the top. The Bulldogs’ class was highlighted the best corner in the nation – Kelee Ringo – deciding to head for Athens. He was fourth on 24-7’s composite player ranking. Last year UGA had the country’s No.2 recruiting class, and in 2018 the Bulldogs locked in the No.1 class.

After winning the National Championship, LSU’s winning the offseason, too

The ‘Geaux Tigers’ and ‘Perfect’ newspaper front pages have long been picked up from Bourbon Street. The smell of vomit and stale alcohol still remains, but that’ll be covered up when another big party comes along this weekend.
