Breaking News: Scott Cochran out as Georgia Special Teams Coordinator
A couple of years ago, Georgia made one of the SEC’s biggest splashes when they hired Scott Cochran, former special teams coordinator and strength and conditioning coach at Alabama.
And now, a couple of years on, it has been announced that Cochran won’t be with the team for the near future – and hasn’t been with them all off-season.
“Coach Cochran is currently dealing with health issues and is taking time to prioritize his mental health and well-being. We fully support him as he takes this time to focus on his well-being,” said Georgia head coach in a statement, issued via Twitter.
Of course, there were those people who thought that Cochran’s departure was more nefarious. Almost, thank God he left for his mental health.
We wish you luck, sir. God speed.
