Florida moved to Sunday, South Carolina to Thursday as Ian starts hitting

The SEC and other conferences will also be affected by Hurricane Ian, which is currently hammering the Florida coast.

• South Carolina‘s Saturday game with South Carolina State has been moved to Thursday at 7pm in an effort to get as many fans in as possible before Ian arrives. “Due to the potential impact of the hurricane on Columbia and the surrounding area, it is in the best interest of safety to play the game on Thursday rather than Saturday afternoon,” South Carolina athletic director Ray Tanner said. The game will probably be in the SEC Network.

Fortunately for Georgia fans, their team is on the road at Missouri. The hurricane is forecast to be. a tropical storm by then, but still hammer the Atlanta/Athens/ near-Atlanta area.
