Missouri announces Odom as head coach

Missouri has promoted defensive co-ordinator Barry Odom as the Tigers’ new head coach.

Odom, who has continuously helped to put together one of the best defenses in college football year in, year out was seen by many as a fantastic deal – particularly with the speculation that Odom may have jumped ship and gone to Memphis, who saw head coach Justin Fuente take the same position at Virginia Tech.

Former head coach Gary Pinkel left his post at the end of a 5-7 season after announcing he had contracted lymphoma.
